Job summary

Starbucks Corp. is seeking a Shift Supervisor in Vaughan to support the store manager, lead the shift team and ensure the Starbucks Experience through prompt service, quality beverages and a clean, welcoming environment.

You will deploy partners, delegate tasks, coach teammates, handle cash responsibly and uphold health, safety and sanitation guidelines while delivering legendary customer service and maintaining attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
• Ability to direct the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume to keep store operations on standard.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and cues.
• Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment.
• Assists with new partner training by coaching as needed.
• Provides feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift.
• Creates a positive learning environment by coaching partners on shift.
• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by prioritizing the customer experience.
• Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Develops positive relationships with shift team and addresses motivation and concerns.
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts and organizes opening/closing duties.
• Follows cash handling and safety procedures to ensure security.
• Maintains attendance and punctuality.
• Ensures quality beverages, whole bean, and food products meet standards.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
