Job summary

Bosch Truck Group Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to maintain a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses across BC.

You will review repair orders, perform diagnostics, and complete repairs following safety standards to keep passengers safe and comfortable. You will document findings, mentor apprentices, and support ongoing dealer training opportunities at our Red Deer facility as part of a team that values professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Red Seal journeyman qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience with diesel engines, drivetrains, and air brake/air ride systems is needed.
• Familiarity with multiplex electrical systems and coach HVAC units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, gather tools and parts for service jobs.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs per procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and keep work area organized and clean.
• Document findings and communicate additional issues.
• Close out repair orders and transition to next job smoothly.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices and support their development.
• Promote a safe work environment and proper tool upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

The Service / Coach Bus Technician is responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses. If you take pride in ensuring passengers travel safely and comfortably across BC, we want you on our team. Responsibilities shall include:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License is preferred
• Previous experience working on Prevost, MCI, or similar highway coach models is an asset
• Diagnosing and repairing advanced diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems/ air ride systems
• Troubleshooting complex multiplex electrical systems and specialized coach HVAC units
• Class 2 or better drivers license an asset
