Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Markham office, with consideration for other locations across Canada. You will lead mine water resources projects, applying hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design responsibilities, while guiding multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients and regulators.
Preference is given to candidates with a Master’s or Doctorate and a PEO license.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in consulting or regulatory environments focused on mine water management.
- Master’s or Doctorate preferred; professional engineering licensure in Ontario is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, client engagement, and written reporting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead mine water resources projects through all life‑cycle stages with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical leadership on water balance, water quality modeling, and design of management infrastructure.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and client communications; prepare proposals and plans.
- Author clear technical reports and supervise field investigations and data analyses.
- Collaborate with regulators, clients, and team members to deliver defensible recommendations.
