Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Canada is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Markham office (or any location across Canada).

You will lead mine water management projects and contribute to hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, water balance, and water quality studies within multidisciplinary teams. The role requires at least 10 years of relevant consulting experience, strong leadership, and a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Experience using hydrology and hydraulic modelling tools.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mining water management or related field.
• Professional Engineer license (PEO) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mine water resources projects through the life of mine, including baseline studies and water management design.
• Develop water balance and water quality models to support NI 43-101 studies.
• Design and supervise water management infrastructure and conveyance systems.
• Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets while managing projects and tasks.
• Author clear technical reports documenting modeling results and field investigations.
