Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Pursuit Specialist to join our Western Canada Business Development team, focusing on leading complex pursuit efforts, elevating submission quality, and driving winning strategies across key markets.

You will own end-to-end pursuit management, collaborate with senior leadership, discipline leads, and project teams to position EXP for success on high-value opportunities. This role blends business development with strategy and technical delivery.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years in pursuits, proposals or business development in the AEC industry.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary pursuits.
• Ability to create client-focused, accessible narratives from technical content.
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) and Bluebeam.
• Experience facilitating strategy sessions, Red/Gold team reviews, and executive-level discussions.
• Advanced organizational and leadership skills under high-pressure deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and BD tools (e.g., CRM systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuits from discovery through submission.
• Facilitate go/no-go decisions, pursuit planning, and proposal execution for a variety of pursuit opportunities.
• Elevate proposal strategy and quality with key messaging, value propositions, and client-focused narratives.
• Own proposal timelines, compliance reviews, and submission readiness.
• Mentor new hires and junior team members, strengthening proposal capabilities across Western Canada.
• Support business development initiatives, research client needs, competitors, and market trends.
• Provide graphic and design support for BD and marketing materials.
• Collaborate at a leadership level as trusted advisor on pursuit strategy and risk.
