Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Pursuit Specialist to join our Western Canada Business Development team. You will lead complex pursuits, elevate proposal quality, and craft client-focused narratives to position EXP for high-value opportunities across Western Canada.

You will manage end-to-end pursuit timelines, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with leadership to drive strategic proposals. Proficiency with InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, and Bluebeam is expected, along with CRM tools like Deltek

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in pursuits, proposals, or business development within the AEC industry
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary pursuits and driving successful outcomes
• Ability to create client-focused narratives from technical content
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) and Bluebeam
• Experience facilitating strategy sessions, Red/Gold team reviews, and executive-level discussions
• Advanced organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage high-pressure deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and BD tools (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint CRM)

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuits from discovery through submission and ensure alignment with win strategies
• Develop compelling pursuit strategies with key messaging and value propositions
• Guide technical teams to produce content that is strategic and evaluation-ready
• Lead proposal timelines, compliance reviews, and submission readiness; mentor new hires
• Conduct client/market research and support relationship planning ahead of formal pursuits
• Provide graphic and design support for BD and marketing materials
• Act as trusted advisor to leadership on pursuit strategy and risk
