Job description
Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, governance, execution, and delivery of enterprise IMIT programs involving multiple workstreams (applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, integrations, adoption).
  • Establish and manage program governance structures, steering committees, decision logs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Develop program charters, integrated master schedules, interdependency maps, resourcing strategies, and business cases.
  • Oversee program financials including multi-year budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and benefits realization.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, IM/IT standards, privacy, security, data governance, and change management practices.
  • Coordinate work across technical teams (solutions design, infrastructure, security, integration, data/analytics) and business units.
  • Identify and mitigate complex technical and organizational risks, including vendor delivery risks and cross-system impacts.
  • Manage procurement strategies including RFPs, contract negotiations, vendor performance, and statements of work.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to project managers, business analysts, systems analysts, and technical leads.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels, ensuring effective communication, change readiness, and adoption planning.
  • Support PMO maturity, contributing to standardized methods, governance models, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience managing IMIT projects and at least 5+ years managing complex multi-year IMIT programs. This experience should span system implementations, cloud migrations, digital modernization initiatives, or infrastructure and cybersecurity programs, including proven success leading programs with significant integration complexity, enterprise data impacts, regulatory/compliance requirements, and broad operational change.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and IMIT experience.
  • Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2, PgMP, MSP (Managing Successful Programs), Agile/Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), ITIL Foundation, and PROSCI Change Management (preferred).
  • Certifications in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture (e.g., Azure, ITSM, TOGAF) are considered strong - assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large programs with multiple PMs and technical specialists.
  • Strong governance, decision-making facilitation, and executive reporting capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of systems integration, cloud adoption, data flows, privacy/security risk management, and application lifecycle management.
  • Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives to drive informed decisions.
  • Skilled in evaluating complex dependencies, solution options, and organizational impacts.
  • Strong ability to develop roadmaps, program sequencing, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Able to manage relationships at senior levels internally and externally.
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communicator with experience in executive briefings, steering committee presentations, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong understanding of organizational change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Highly organized with strong financial management, prioritization, and coordination skills.
  • Adept at driving results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
