Job summary

SMS Equipment in Acheson, AB, is seeking an experienced Product Coordinator Lead to provide senior technical leadership within the Centralized Sales Administration team. This role governs the full lifecycle of heavy equipment transactions, supporting margins and OEM compliance.

You will lead procurement through OEM channels, coach coordinators, and ensure accurate costing, invoicing, and ERP/CRM workflows. The position is on-site, Monday to Friday, with a salary of CAD 80,000–85,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical and financial expertise in heavy equipment administration.
• Ability to lead through influence and provide senior-level guidance in complex, margin-sensitive environments.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or providing technical guidance to coordinators or administrators.
• Strong knowledge of OEM platforms and compliance processes (e.g., Komatsu, Takeuchi, BOMAG, NPK).
• Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior subject matter expert for equipment lifecycle governance, OEM processes, ERP workflows, and financial controls across CSA operations.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching, and escalation support to Product Coordinators, including review of complex or high-value transactions.
• Oversee end-to-end equipment procurement through OEM channels, ensuring contractual compliance, accurate documentation, and margin protection.
• Lead quality control of unit governance files, ensuring audit readiness, lifecycle traceability, and adherence to internal controls.
• Provide senior oversight of equipment logistics, including cargo releases, port-direct shipments, and coordination of delivery timelines.
• Validate equipment costing, Cost Work Sheets (CWS), invoicing, and ERP receiving to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for warranty lifecycle management, OEM programs, and rental or demo asset governance.
• Support weekly COSA processes, resolve aging or escalated issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
