Senior Partner Solutions Engineer

In this role you will provide technical leadership across Commercial and Product Partnership teams, supporting large cross‑functional programs. You will represent affirm’s engineering team and technologies to partners, while helping drive technical and business strategy. This role entails operational support for ad hoc partner requests, collaborating on solution design, and managing the execution of long‑term initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation, unafraid to roll up their sleeves with engineers with a proven track record of delivering results.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders
  • Lead the development of project plans by driving solution designs, timeline forecasting, task breakdown, and testing strategy
  • Develop integration support material and documentation for new product rollouts and feature updates
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to build out partnership roadmaps
  • Serve as an overarching SME and point of escalation for internal and external teams facing technical challenges
  • Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication with external partners to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables, while fostering strong, long‑term relationships
  • Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination, share insights, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining open and constructive communication
  • Provide feedback on integration strategy, potential product enhancements, and operational workflows
What We Look For
  • 4+ years experience in a Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or other customer‑facing engineering role
  • Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages
  • Experience with long‑term project planning and execution
  • Experience with e‑commerce technologies and data models
  • Thorough understanding of JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies
  • Thorough understanding of integrating UX elements with backend services, frameworks, and third‑party developer APIs
  • Experience with observability tools and applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong project management skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to stay on schedule
  • Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better
Pay Grade

Pay Grade - L
Equity Grade - 4

Compensation

Base pay range per year: $125,000 - $175,000
Remote‑first, work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by affirm holdings, inc. (parent company). Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).
