The Senior Manager of Risk and Operations Solutions is a critical resource to maintain RBCx’s diligent focus on risk management and helps to leverage risk as an enabler to business success.

What will you do?

In this unique hybrid opportunity, as Senior Manager, RBCx Risk and Operations Solutions, you will play a critical role in providing horizontal support for supplier management, technology operations and risk management for RBCx Banking. In this role, you will:

  • Track and implement governance reviews, control testing and policy changes which impact RBCx.
  • Work alongside Banking and Portfolio Product teams (Ownr/Houseful/Dr.Bill/MyDoh) to support business growth and action issue and risk remediation strategies.
  • Support OSI led projects focused on major IT Operations system migrations and security optimization strategies.
  • Assist with simplifying and validating over 200 RBCx third party supplier relationships; and the streamlining the RBCx vendor onboarding process.
  • Work towards standardizing solutions that enable RBCx teams to seamlessly engage their business domain shared-services solutions in a efficient manner.
  • Provide timely support alongside IT Operations Specialists for the 600+ RBCx users for business managed applications - User request types: Infrastructure, access, release, inquiries, questions, and consultation.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
  • Experience with IT Risk management processes at RBC and shared services capabilities
  • First-line risk management: proven experience in risk management with a demonstrated ability to minimize risk and promote compliance through effective risk management programs, and the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks through preventative risk reviews.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements: strong understanding of and adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
  • Advanced Innovative Thinking: A strong desire to take ownership of and drive solutions for the business, leveraging strong communication skills and innovating thinking to develop solutions to complex risk management challenges.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management with a focus on technical systems migrations and optimization strategies.
  • Supplier risk management: A demonstrated understanding of Supplier Risk Management and associated risk and control processes and frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
  • Fast-paced environment: prior experience in a dynamic and adaptive work-setting such as a fintech or start-up environment.
  • Change management: history of having successfully implemented change management strategies (i.e. regulatory change management).
  • AI powered solutions: experience in the development and implementation of AI powered solutions (in personal or corporate capacity).
  • Certifications in risk management (FRM, CERA, CRIC, CRM etc), and/or IT / Security (ITIL, CISSP, CISM)
