AgeCare is recruiting a Recreation Worker for Generations Toronto to plan and run meaningful recreation and leisure activities for residents. You will support wellbeing, creativity, and community, delivering planned and spontaneous activities in the home and community.

Ideal candidates have prior senior care experience and a related diploma or degree. The role offers competitive hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a diverse, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or related field from college or university.
• Enrolled in a program with intent to complete within three years of hire or a health care related field with demonstrated skills in recreation and leisure services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and run a variety of recreation and leisure activities.
• Support residents’ skills, relationships, and personal connections.
• Create engaging spaces that encourage participation and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with other departments and volunteers to foster resident engagement.
