AgeCare is seeking a Recreation Worker to plan, develop and run meaningful recreation and leisure activities in our long-term care homes. You will promote wellbeing, purpose, creativity, community, lifelong learning, and fun for residents.

You will facilitate planned and spontaneous opportunities to maintain residents' skills, develop relationships, and support engagement with families and the community. Join a team dedicated to person-centered care and continuous program improvement.

Qualificações

• Experience working with seniors, preferably in long-term care.
• Graduate in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or related field from college or university.
• Enrolled in a related program with intent to complete within three years of hire.
• Other related health-care field degree with experience in planning, developing and facilitating wellness activities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop and run daily recreation and leisure activities.
• Support development of resident skills, relationships and community engagement.
• Observe, document changes in residents' ability to participate and update plans of care.
