Overview

The Vanderbilt Department of Mathematics invites applications for two Senior Lecturer positions with a start date of Fall 2026. These positions are three-year, continuing track appointments and carry a teaching load of three courses per semester. The positions are not on the tenure track but are continually renewable, conditional upon performance and curricular need. The successful applicant will work with a team of 8 teaching-focused faculty, as well as the research faculty, on all aspects of the undergraduate mission of the department, including instruction, coordination, curriculum development, mentoring, and outreach.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field awarded no later than August 1, 2026. We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
