GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Accountabilities include standard and job costing, bills of material, cost studies, absorption analysis, WIP inventory evaluation, reporting and analysis on operational activities, maintain standards and transfer prices, reporting on variances, labor efficiency analysis, inventory reports, sales analysis and reports, journal entries, and other related tasks.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reports to: Controller

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible for the inventory accounting cycle, report generations, costing and variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the inventory month end close and reconciliation process.
  • Responsible for the preparation of accounting reserves for inventory and reconciliation per PCC policy. Support the operations action plan on Inventory reserves.
  • Responsible to maintain accurate value of Material, labor, Burden and Service values by part in Visual.
  • Responsible for the monthly SRED and Program Accounting deliverables.
  • Responsible for the preparation of PCC financial package (FQR, 26 schedules, daily flex, etc.).
  • Responsible for the preparation and reporting for Price, Volume, Mix, Contribution margin by part by program and expense analysis (weekly and monthly).
  • Responsible for the preparation, reporting and variance analysis of operating expenses.
  • Participate with Operations and Finance to prepare budget and monthly forecast – Sales and COGS, Burden and Expenses.
  • Preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and all other requirements to support an accurate and effective month‑end, and quarter‑end close.
  • Actively support the Controller with public company month end requirements.
  • Recognize and maintain SOX Controls.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc reconciliations, variance analysis and special projects, as needed and assigned.
DIMENSIONS
  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related.
  • 5 years + of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SAP / VISUAL or similar ERP.
COMPETENCIES
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills with a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities.
  • Able to perform complex financial modeling using Excel and an ability to work within multiple systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pull, analyze, summarize, and report data efficiently and effectively.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, organize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform accounting tasks with accuracy under a tight deadline.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical
  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and arms.
