Job summary

A technology services provider in Toronto is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support data initiatives. This role requires proficiency in Apache Iceberg and AWS Glue, along with strong communication skills. You will leverage data management tools and collaborate with business units to deliver actionable solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices. This contract position offers CAD$80 per hour with a high possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data modeling and architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, especially Terraform.
• Experience with QuickSight or similar BI tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
