You will work closely with the Energy & Sustainability team and cross‑functional stakeholders to manage large datasets from diverse sources, perform utility allocations using defined methodologies, and support both regulatory and voluntary reporting. You will also help drive financial value by coordinating data required for energy incentive applications.

Core Responsibilities

  • Clean, transform and validate data to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy
  • Apply methodologies to estimate usage for missing data, including weather normalization and occupancy adjustments
  • Perform allocations of shared utility usage to customers based on submeters, square footage, occupancy, and heating type
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to submit incentive and rebate documentation and track application status
Analytics & Reporting
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power Bi and Microsoft Fabric. Conduct in-depth analysis to generate actionable insights on energy performance
  • Support internal and external reporting, including ENERGY STAR, GRESB, and investor disclosures
  • Prepare recurring reports summarizing energy use by customer, building, and portfolio, clearly flagging estimated values
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with property management and operations teams to validate data and address discrepancies
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and structure data
  • Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to data collection and management processes
Required Skills and Experience
  • Degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, data analytics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working with large datasets, ideally in energy, utilities, or real estate
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SQL; experience with PySpark, R or Python is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage ambiguity
