Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a candidate for an interview-based role focused on the proper acceptance, storage, handling, loading of dangerous goods and the accuracy and retention of related documents as required by law and FedEx policy.

The position involves handling spills, responding to staff and customer inquiries on dangerous goods handling, and providing awareness training to colleagues to maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school/equivalent required.
• Six months FedEx experience preferred.
• Computer proficient.
• Ability to complete and maintain all dangerous goods certifications.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, labeling and documentation requirements.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training.
• Good human relations and communications skills.
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuvers any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Responsibilities

• This is an interview position focused on proper acceptance, storage, handling, loading of dangerous goods and the correctness and retention of related documents required by legislation and FedEx policy.
• To handle spills of dangerous goods and respond to questions from staff and customers on the handling of dangerous goods.
• To provide awareness training to other staff.
