Job summary

FedEx Logistics is hiring for a part-time Dangerous Goods Agent in Ontario, London. You will ensure proper acceptance, storage, handling and loading of dangerous goods, and maintain required documentation in line with FedEx policy and legislation.

You will respond to spills, answer staff and customer questions on DG handling, and provide awareness training to colleagues. A valid G license, ability to lift 70 lbs, and DG certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months FedEx experience preferred.
• Type at least 25 wpm.
• Maintain dangerous goods certifications.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, labeling, and documentation.
• Able to complete all basic and recurrency training.
• Good human relations and communications skills.
• Lift 70 lbs and maneuver any package up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Must have a valid G license and a clean driving record.

To ensure the proper acceptance, storage, handling, loading of dangerous goods and the correctness and retention of related documents required by legislation and Fedex policy. To handle spills of dangerous goods and respond to questions from staff and customers on the handling of dangerous goods. To provide awareness training to other staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High school/equivalent
• Six months FedEx experience preferred
• Ability to type 25 wpm
• Ability to complete and maintain all dangerous goods certifications
• Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, labeling and documentation requirements
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training
• Good human relations and communications skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
