FedEx Logistics in Delta, BC is seeking a role focused on the proper handling and documentation of dangerous goods, including acceptance, storage, loading and spill response. You will respond to staff and customer questions and provide awareness training to colleagues.
The position requires high school or equivalent, 25 wpm typing, ability to lift 70 lbs and move up to 150 lbs with equipment, and a valid G license with a clean driving record. Shift details: Sun 1:30pm-10pm, Mon-Thu 5pm-1:30am.
This is an interview position.
To ensure the proper acceptance, storage, handling, loading of dangerous goods and the correctness and retention of related documents required by legislation and Fedex policy. To handle spills of dangerous goods and respond to questions from staff and customers on the handling of dangerous goods. To provide awareness training to other staff.
High school/equivalent
Six months FedEx experience preferred
Ability to type 25 wpm
Ability to complete and maintain all dangerous goods certifications
Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, labeling and documentation requirements
Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training
Good human relations and communications skills
Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
