Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking to fill an interview-position role focused on proper acceptance, storage and handling of dangerous goods in Calgary. The candidate will ensure documentation compliance, respond to spills, and provide awareness training to staff, while meeting FedEx policies and legal requirements.

Requirements include High school/equivalent, 25 wpm typing, dangerous goods certifications, and a valid G license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • High school/equivalent.
  • Six months FedEx experience preferred.
  • Ability to type 25 wpm.
  • Ability to complete and maintain all dangerous goods certifications.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, labeling and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training.
  • Good human relations and communications skills.
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper acceptance, storage, handling, loading of dangerous goods and retention of related documents as required by legislation and FedEx policy.
  • Handle spills of dangerous goods and respond to questions from staff and customers on the handling of dangerous goods.
  • Provide awareness training to other staff.

To handle spills of dangerous goods and respond to questions from staff and customers on the handling of dangerous goods. To provide awareness training to other staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school/equivalent
