Job summary

A leading technology firm in downtown Toronto is seeking a Sr. Technology Architect for a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days a week. This position involves leading security design and architecture reviews across various cloud platforms, developing secure reference architectures, performing risk assessments, and defining identity solutions. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in technical security leadership, particularly with AWS and Azure, along with a strong background in application architecture and networking. This role is offered on a contract basis for over 7 months.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in technical security architecture for enterprise environments.
• Experience in Security Architecture and design with Cloud Platforms.
• Strong grounding in application architecture, networking, and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security design and architecture reviews for cloud platforms.
• Develop secure-by-design reference architectures tailored to cloud deployments.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to align with security standards.
• Define identity and access control strategies including SSO and MFA.
• Design network and infrastructure security controls.
• Architect data protection solutions for cloud and SaaS data.
• Integrate logs into SIEM platforms and design automation playbooks.
• Collaborate with teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Facilitate design workshops and document decisions.
• Mentor junior architects sharing best practices.
