Job summary

A leading service provider in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a First Cook to manage the daily meal service in a remote camp environment. Responsibilities include meal preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ideal candidates should have cooking experience, a Food Safe certificate, and the ability to handle physical demands. This position offers a two-week on/two-week off rotation with a starting wage of $22.48 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in large-scale camp cooking is an asset.
• Experience in producing weekly inventories is an asset.
• High standards in maintaining a clean and organized Kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Handle and prepare meals according to approved methods and standards.
• Supervise all kitchen staff involved in meal preparation and serving.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of all food supplies.
