A growing heavy equipment service firm based in Kamloops is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing month-end processes, preparing financial reports, and supporting payroll administration. Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
Big Country Equipment is a BC‑based heavy equipment service and repair company that works with resource‑based customers in the construction, forestry, mining, and oil and gas sectors throughout Canada. Founded in 2017, we have grown rapidly from a one‑truck operation to over 120 employees and a fleet of 35 fully‑tooled service trucks, serving customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year across Canada.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role plays a critical part in month‑end and year‑end preparation and will also provide backup support for the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.
