Job description

Securiguard is currently seeking Access Control Point (ACP) guards who provide access to the Restricted Area of the Airport. If you are ready to make a meaningful impact on the security and well-being of travelers, and be a part of our exceptional team, we encourage you to apply.

Each day our ACP guards are responsible for:

• Provide Access and Egress into and out of the Restricted Area for both passengers and employees according to the policies and procedures distributed by the Company.
• Prevent unauthorized and backflow access into restricted areas.
• Control access to restricted areas through verification of RAIC verification.
• Ensure adherence to block pass requirements for those accessing the Restricted Area while escorting.
• Ensure goods entering adhere to the Secure Supply Chain Security program.
• Ensure Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations and directives are enforced.
• Other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Management as per operational requirement.

Job Requirements

• Valid Security License with the Province of British Columbia
• Ability to work 8, 10 and 12‑hour shifts, rotating between days and evenings (overnight), weekends and holidays.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean abstract.
• Access to vehicle to get to and from work.
• Ability to problem‑solve and situational awareness
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment

Clearance Requirements (RAIC) & Training

For many of Securiguard's positions based at our Vancouver Airport Branch, candidates must have the ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). This clearance involves a background check based on 5 years of history.

Successful candidates will then be trained in Aviation Security and, upon passing the examination, will receive an AVSEC certification.
