Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire to join our team in Kitchener, ON. This front-line role requires a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to obtain Secret Clearance. You will direct visitors, maintain professional appearance, and complete daily logs at client sites.

Hourly rate is $21.24, with shifts arranged to meet site requirements. Location: 40 Weber St. East, Kitchener, ON, with on-site parking and transit access.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security Guard License is required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (Canada resident 10+ years, clean record, clean credit).
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Direct visitors to the appropriate lines depending on the type of service they request.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors, and clients.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.
• Complete daily logs and reports as necessary.

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Direct visitors to the appropriate lines depending on the type of service they request.
  
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors, and clients.
  
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.
  
• Complete daily logs and reports as necessary.
  
• Other duties as assigned by the Client, or the Regional Manager
