Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire for a part-time security role at CFB Borden, Ontario. You will conduct vehicle patrols, verify access points, and escort visitors while upholding high professional standards.

The position requires an Ontario Security Guard license, First Aid/CPR, a valid G-class license, and eligibility for Secret Security Clearance. Fluency in English is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Experience operating a two-way radio on security assignments.
• Must possess a valid G-class driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance (Canada).
• Ontario Security Guard license is required per employer policy.

Responsabilités

• Conduct vehicle patrols and verify doors/windows per client buildings.
• Ensure access control and escort visitors as required.
• Maintain professional appearance and positive relations with clients and staff.
• Operate a two-way radio and communicate clearly at all times.
• Respond to alarms and use alarm panels; record daily logs and reports.
• Stand/sit/walk for long periods and complete frequent patrols.
• Perform other duties as required by site supervisor.

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Conducting vehicle patrols; verify doors and windows to client specified buildings.
• Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured, escorting visitors as required
• Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Good Radio communication
• Conducting physical checks of buildings at directed
• Secure and open Access Gates as directed
• Responding to alarms and utilization of alarm panels
• Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
• Ability to stand/sit for a longer period of time
• Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• *MUST*Ontario Security Guard License
• *MUST*Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• *MUST* have a Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract
• *MUST* be 25 years of age old or older for company insurance.
• *MUST* be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to complete frequent patrols
• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset
• *MUST* be able to operate a two way radio

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU

• Job type: Part-time
• Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.93 per hour
• Hours of work: Saturday and Sunday 1800 to 06000hrs
• Location: CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario
