Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes in Ontario seeks a Commissionaire to join our security team at CFB Borden. This full-time role requires a valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

You will maintain high standards, work independently, and coordinate with RP Ops on maintenance issues. Fluency in English is essential; French is an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
• Must hold Ontario Security Guard License.
• Must have valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance ( residency in Canada 10+ years, clean record, clean credit history).
• Security Clearance: Reliable upgradeable to Secret.
• English fluency; French is an asset.
• Ability to work alone with high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with RP Ops for maintenance issues affecting accommodations.
• Provide minor maintenance when required.
• Master key control and ensure security protocols.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and deportment.
• Perform other duties as required by the client.

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Liaison with RP Ops for all maintenance related issues affecting accommodations
• Provide minor maintenance where required
• Master key control
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Other duties as required by the client
• No Stat Holidays worked
