Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire for upcoming vacancies across Ontario. This casual/spare role offers a pay rate of $18.50 per hour or higher, with flexible hours and assignments in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and Scarborough.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Must hold WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Must be able to obtain Level II (Secret) clearance; resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean criminal record, clean credit history.
• Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client.
• High attention to detail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
• Monitor CCTV cameras
• Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
• Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Maintain effective communication
• Respond to alarms and calls for assistance
• Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
• Regular interior and exterior foot patrols
• Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team as a spare/casual employee. This posting is for an upcoming vacancies.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
