Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire for part-time security duties at CFB Borden, Ontario. The role requires strong vigilance, reliability, and the ability to stand or walk for long periods while performing interior building checks and access control per client specifications.

You will escort visitors, respond to alarms, and maintain logs and reports. A valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, and ability to obtain Secret clearance are mandatory.

Qualificações

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
• Must hold Ontario Security Guard License.
• Must have valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance (10+ years in Canada, clean record).
• Security Clearance requirement: Reliable upgradeable to Secret.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct interior building checks as specified by clients.
• Escort visitors and ensure access control and security of client property.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; communicate effectively via radio.
• Complete daily logs and reports; stand/sit/walk for long periods as required.
• Respond to alarms and operate alarm panels; support site supervisor as needed.

INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Conducting interior building checks. Buildings may be vacant, occupied or equipment storage. Building list as per client specifications
• Guards are expected to walk between 20,000 and 30,000 steps per shift
• Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured, escorting visitors as required
• Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Good Radio communication
• Conducting physical checks of buildings at directed
• Secure and open Access Gates as directed
• Responding to alarms and utilization of alarm panels
  
• Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
  
• Ability to stand/sit for a longer period of time
  
• Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor

• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset
  

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

• Job type: Part-time
• Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.82 per hour
  
• Hours of work:
  • Saturday & Sunday, 0600 to 1800hrs
    
  • Shift start time / end times could move by one hour up or down
    
• Location: CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario
