Job summary

Michaels in Pembroke, ON is seeking a customer-focused store associate to help customers find products and enjoy a speedy checkout. This role supports BOPIS/SFS and participates in stock and merchandising activities to keep the store well‑stocked and inviting.

Team members engage customers with rewards program enrollment and provide a positive, solution-oriented shopping experience. Employment includes full-time hours with a welcoming, safety-minded environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Cash handling and checkout experience a plus.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with customers.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and in-stock store
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact respectfully and be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
