Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Okotoks, AB is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find items, and ensure a fast, smooth checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, perform planograms, participate in BOPIS/SFS as needed, and uphold store recovery and safety standards.

This role supports rewards enrollments and customer voice surveys, with a focus on teamwork and a positive store image.

Qualifications

Retail or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform stocking duties.
Ability to lift and move merchandise as required; Physical requirements include bending, lifting, reaching.

Responsibilities

Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they’re looking for.
Execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go backs.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
