Responsibilities
- Facilitate the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.);
- Retrieve, consolidate andanalyzeinformation from various sources;
- Conduct schedule analysis for constructability, risks and opportunities;
- Collaborate with field supervision on look ahead planning;
- Implement subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule;
- Lead interactive planning sessions;
- Manage schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements;
- Analyzeschedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline and generate solutions for scheduling conflicts;
- Communicate plans and schedules internally and externally through effective graphs and reports; and
- Apply leadership skills tosupportthe site manager in project execution.
Qualifications
6-8 years of experience in planning and scheduling with direct hire trades and subcontractors is required, although less experience may be considered for the right candidate;The position will require working on-site in North Vancouver;Thorough understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices and techniques;Advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel;Utilize information from construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents;Understanding of Advanced Work Packaging / WorkFace Planning;Experience in using schedule delay analysis methods, schedule risk analysis and 4D scheduling would be an asset;An Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree preferred but not mandatory;Capacity to prioritize work under strict timelines and be adaptable to changing needs;A keen eye for detail;High Emotional intelligence, especially with regard to social awareness and relationship management;Effective listening and oral communication skills (including spoken, written and visual);Capable and confident presenting to small and large groups; andComfortable working with a variety of people, including estimators, field supervision, subcontractors, project management and clients;The salary for this position will range from $ 85,000 to $115,000, depending on experience.
