Overview

Reporting to the Vice-President, SAP Sales, the SAP Account Executive at Talan is a trusted advisor who plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success. As a key member of the sales team, you will leverage your deep expertise in SAP solutions to build strong C-level relationships, develop winning sales strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to close opportunities.

Your mission is to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets by leading a designated territory, developing comprehensive business plans, and managing the entire sales cycle from pipeline planning to deal closure. Through your business acumen and understanding of customer needs, you will drive the sale of SAP Cloud Subscriptions and Talan services, ensuring sustainable growth and positioning Talan as a premier partner.

Your mission consists of:

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Development
    • Drive sustainable growth by developing and executing effective account plans to ensure revenue target delivery within your designated territory.
    • Build a robust and predictable sales funnel by applying a disciplined approach to identifying prospects, profiling accounts, and maintaining a rolling pipeline of qualified opportunities.
    • Create a foundation for future business opportunities by actively understanding client needs and building a comprehensive knowledge base for your accounts.
  • Trusted Client Advisor
    • Act as a strategic partner by establishing strong C-level relationships built on an in-depth knowledge of your customer's industry, business needs, and strategic goals.
    • Provide significant value in every interaction by actively understanding each client’s unique challenges and growth plans, positioning Talan as an indispensable partner.
    • Leverage your business acumen and industry insights to guide clients, helping them translate their strategic vision into concrete, technology-driven action plans.
  • Sales & Revenue Execution
    • Directly contribute to Talan Americas' success by consistently achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets for SAP Cloud Subscriptions and Talan services.
    • Secure new business and expand our client base by masterfully managing the full sales cycle, from initial opportunity through the successful execution of the sales strategy to deal closure.
    • Effectively position Talan’s value by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and articulating how our SAP solutions address customer pain points.
  • Collaborative Strategy & Market Insight
    • Enhance the effectiveness of our sales campaigns by providing innovative suggestions and continuous feedback on market trends and competitive positioning.
    • Design compelling, customer-centric solutions by collaborating closely with pre-sales and technical teams to address the specific needs and goals of each client.
    • Ensure data-driven sales strategies and accurate forecasting by meticulously maintaining customer and pipeline information within our CRM system.

Qualifications
  • SAP Solutions Sales Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development with a proven track record in SAP software and/or services sales.
  • Customer and Results Orientation: A results-oriented approach with a keen attentiveness to the needs of potential customers, complemented by an excellent ability to listen and adapt to objections.
  • Technological Expertise: A demonstrated curiosity and commitment towards the field of technology, with experience in information technology considered a strong asset.
  • Operational Excellence: Proficiency with essential business tools including Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Salesforce, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-project mode.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or a diploma in a related field.
  • Communication: Good oral and written communication skills in English, to communicate with clients located across North America
