Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of prior sales or industry experience is required.

• Quickly building strong relationships with internal Ryerson employees and external vendors.
• Ensuring quoted material is available.
• Sourcing alternative material options when quoted material is not available; arranging quotes and shipments through third party vendors.
• Sourcing material both internal and external to support customers' requests.
• Creating and modifying orders within SAP.
• Keeps internal employees informed about order tracking and lead times throughout the sales process.
• Uses critical thinking to solve problems to efficiently provide a delivered product to the customer within the allotted time.
• Keeps detailed records of tracking of material.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Join our team as the Sales Operations Specialist. In this role, you are responsible for delivering excellent internal and external customer experiences at Ryerson. The Sales Operations Specialist role is critical for our speed-to-quote, technology, and transactional growth initiatives.

While this position may be based at any Ryerson location across Canada, candidates located in Eastern Canada are preferred to help ensure balanced coverage across the region.

Roles and Responsibilities

Salary: $57,000.00- $85,000.00 annually. A starting salary higher than $57,000 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale
