Job summary

Ryerson Canada is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative for our Apogee Steel Fabrication location in Mississauga, ON. You will manage RFQs, interpret CAD files, assemble quotes, and maintain CRM while coordinating with sales, operations, quality, and outside service providers.

The role requires 1–3 years of metal industry sales or customer service, strong math skills, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office. An engineering degree is preferred; accommodations are available upon request.

Qualifications

• Paper/print reading and technical document interpretation are required.
• Experience with CAD/drafting is a plus.
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency is expected.
• Strong math skills and understanding of tolerances and specs are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound quotes (RFQs) and coordinate pricing and availability.
• Interpret CAD files, prints, and specs for accurate quotes.
• Maintain CRM with quotes and customer communications.
• Coordinate with sales, operations and quality departments to fulfill orders.
• Follow up with customers to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
• Support ongoing sales improvements and issue communication.
