Job description

Commercial Operations Lead - Manufacturing
Location:

$80,000 - $90,000 CAD (dependent on experience)

The Client:

Our client is a well-established global organization serving customers across the automotive and industrial sectors. With decades of innovation and a reputation for quality, they partner with leading manufacturers to deliver high-performance products that improve efficiency, productivity, and operational performance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative organization that values long-term customer relationships and invests in developing its people.

What you will achieve in this role:
  • Own the customer inquiry process from initial request through resolution, ensuring clear ownership, timely follow-up, and professional communication.
  • Act as a central coordination point between customers and internal teams including sales, estimating, engineering, production, quality, finance, shipping, and logistics.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the Sales Support team by aligning priorities, balancing workload, clarifying responsibilities, and reinforcing accountability.
  • Anticipate customer needs and take a proactive approach to resolving issues, removing roadblocks, and improving response times.
  • Support quoting and commercial activities by coordinating information, approvals, customer requirements, and internal handoffs through to completion.
  • Advocate for customers while balancing commercial priorities, internal capabilities, timelines, and business requirements.
  • Identify recurring service, quoting, communication, or process gaps and help develop practical SOPs, templates, checklists, and standards that improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through responsiveness, sound judgment, negotiation, problem solving, and consistent follow-through.
What you must bring to this role:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service, sales support, commercial operations, inside sales, estimating support, manufacturing administration, or a related customer-facing coordination role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or technical business environment, with an understanding of how customer requirements move through internal operational teams.
  • Strong business acumen and a customer-first mindset, with the initiative and urgency to anticipate needs and drive work forward rather than waiting for direction.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, customer advocacy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer expectations with internal business requirements.
  • Experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring others is preferred, along with the ability to reinforce processes, priorities, and accountability in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, plus experience working with ERP, CRM, quoting, or customer management systems. Experience with Sage X3 is an asset.
  • An outgoing, adaptable, results-driven approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work onsite in Uxbridge, Ontario, with flexibility around working hours and potential travel as required.

Only those who are qualified will be contacted.

This posting is for an existing vacancy and is intended to fill a current open position.
