Source Office Furniture is seeking a Sales Assistant at our Kelowna location. This is a full-time position.

As the Sales Assistant, you are responsible for providing administrative support to the sales representatives by managing and processing sales orders, creating and modifying quotes, and directly assisting customers by phone, email, or face‑to‑face. Additional store administrative tasks may also be required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete sales orders in a timely manner including communicating all relevant information (product availability, freight, etc.) to the sales representative and/or customer as required.
  • Generate quotes and forward to appropriate sales representative.
  • Contact suppliers regarding availability of stock and pricing; relay lead times and discount structures.
  • Monitor and schedule backorders, including install if required.
  • Schedule delivery and install in conjunction with Delivery Coordinator.
  • Provide back‑up to sales representatives in troubleshooting and communicating with customers when issues arise.
  • Coordinate post‑sales activities with customers to ensure job completion and satisfaction.
  • Assist sales representative in checking stock levels and product availability and promptly communicate the information to them while out in the field.
  • Engage and assist customers who need information on the phone or via email.
  • Process Supply Chain Transfer (SCT).
  • Manage point of sale processes, including receiving and processing payments.
  • Maintain product library of brochures, laminate, fabric samples, as well as promotional materials that may be required for presentations by sales reps.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma is a minimum; post‑secondary education; i.e. business diploma or certificate is an asset.
  • 1 year of office administration/coordination; preferably in a support role with tight deadlines and high pressure; being in a sales environment is an advantage.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage time efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and the ability to handle high pressure and multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with business systems, MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
