Job summary

As the Risk Management Analyst you will contribute to the management of MAG’s insurance program (procurement, reporting, administration, consultation) and maturing the delivery of other Global Risk Management accountabilities (e.g. business resilience processes, strategic risk management process).

What you’ll do:
  • Insurance procurement process - compile, analyze and report organizational data from across the business to inform insurance strategy and purchasing decisions
  • Insurance program administration:
    • Manage the distribution and upkeep of certificates of insurance across the organization to ensure compliance and support business initiatives
    • Ensure accurate accounting and timely management reporting of insurance expenses to inform business decisions
    • Contribute to the design, development and potential automation of insurance spend analysis
    • Coordinate the tracking and administration of claims, including documentation, monitoring and follow‑up to support operational efficiency
  • Contribute to business resilience efforts through stakeholder communication and data‑driven analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Enhance the Risk intranet site (MAGNET) with intuitive navigation search, and streamlined content workflows to support self‑serve usage for MAG Stakeholders
What you have:
  • Diploma or University Degree (business administration, risk management, accounting)
  • Business acumen; 3+ years experience in large, complex organizations
  • Insurance Experience with a comprehensive understanding of industry terminology and coverages
  • Technical accounting knowledge with practical experience in applying accounting principles. CPA designation is an asset
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with demonstrated ability to build and interpret complex analyses
  • Experience implementing Power BI solutions, from data preparation to visualization and insight generation
  • Working knowledge of internal control and risk management principles
  • Strong communicator (verbal and written) –able to distill complex, detailed information into succinct summaries and actionable insights
