Job summary

Purdys Chocolatier is seeking a Team Lead for a new pop-up shop in Pickering CityCentre. Training will begin in Oshawa mid-October, with the shop opening in late October. The role focuses on leading staff, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a busy retail setting.

You will guide the team, engage customers, and collaborate with management to ensure smooth operations while working a variety of shifts, including evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail/hospitality environment is required.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to drive sales.
• Collaborative team player who can engage with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate staff at the Pickering pop-up shop.
• Drive sales and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Oversee merchandising and shop operations per company guidelines.
• Support training and onboarding during the Oshawa to Pickering transition.

Job type: Part-time, 6-Month Contract

Hours are estimated to be: 24 hours per week

Expected hourly pay: $20.25 per hour

Job Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Lead to help lead our team to success at our new pop-up shop in Pickering CityCentre. The successful candidate will begin training at an Oshawa shop in mid-October, with the new shop expected to open in late October.

The Team Lead reports to Shop Management and works closely with them to ensure all merchandising, customer service, and shop operations are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies and guidelines.

You will be guiding the staff, however, you will not be responsible for hiring or discipline. Your success will come from your ability to engage with customers, drive sales, and work in a team environment.

This is a position that requires availability for all types of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

You will be a good fit if you are:
