Job summary

Dollarama in Canada is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes staff coaching, merchandising, cash handling, safety, and policy adherence. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in retail with supervisory experience and flexible day/evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
