Job summary

Bass Pro Outdoor World in Abbotsford, Canada, is seeking a Retail Lead to oversee day-to-day operations of a store department. You will supervise the team, delegate tasks, and train staff on procedures to ensure smooth operation and excellent service.

The role requires strong customer focus, the ability to evaluate customer needs, and willingness to work opening/closing shifts including weekends. Bass Pro Shops products experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment.
• Open availability - this position will work store opening/closing shifts and weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in other areas as needed.

Summary

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day to day operation of a retail store department.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
• Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
• Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
• Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
• Promote company programs to team members and customers
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations

• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset

Starting Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.75
