Bass Pro Shops in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Full Time Hunting Lead to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Hunting department under the Retail Manager. This role emphasizes supervision, staff development, customer service, and adherence to SOPs.

You will delegate tasks, train on procedures, maintain visual standards, and promote programs while ensuring exceptional service. Prior experience in outdoor lifestyle is valued.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment.
• Open availability to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Experience in Archery an asset.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.

Summary

Reporting to the Retail Manager (Hardlines), the Full Time Hunting Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day to day operation of the Hunting department.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
• Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
• Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
• Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
• Promote company programs to team members and customers
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
