Bass Pro Shops in Canada is seeking a Retail Lead to oversee day-to-day operations of a department. You will supervise the team, delegate tasks, and train staff on SOPs while ensuring adherence to processes and standards.

You will deliver outstanding customer service by identifying needs and recommending suitable products, promote store programs, and maintain visual merchandising. Flexibility for varied shifts, including weekends, is required.

Competenze

• 2+ years supervisory experience in a sales/service environment.
• Open availability including weekends and store opening/closing shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to assess customers’ needs and make appropriate recommendations.
• Strong focus on delivering superior customer service and exceeding expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logical problem solving.
• Experience in outdoor lifestyle or related field is an asset.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is helpful.

Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day to day operation of a retail store department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
• Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
• Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
• Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
• Promote company programs to team members and customers
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
• Open availability – this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
• Ability to use good judgment and logic
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset
