Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Edmonton is seeking a Team Lead to supervise the day-to-day operations of a store department, ensuring smooth service and presentation, and participate in store-wide initiatives.

You will coach team members, delegate tasks, and train procedures to deliver legendary customer service. This role collaborates with the Retail Manager to drive sales, maintain merchandising standards, and support shifts including weekends. A positive attitude and role modeling is expected.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment.
• Open availability – this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
• Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
• Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
• Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
• Promote company programs to team members and customers
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
