Qualifications

  • Must have a full C class, manual drivers licence.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a 4WD vehicle.
  • Provide First Aid expertise.

Fortescue is seeking a full-time RC Rig Geologist to join the Resource Definition team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing skill sets and expand their operational knowledge in a dynamic, hands‑on environment. As part of the team, you will play a key role in analysing geological data and supporting resource definition efforts, contributing directly to exploration and development projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and be a role model for safety
  • Daily supervision of RC drill rig
  • High quality stratigraphy, downhole gamma, and texture logging of RC chips
  • Assay and geological data management, internal QAQC, data collection/validation
  • Ensuring high sample quality on the rigs
  • Rationalisation and progression of near mine exploration targets
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary degree in Geoscience
  • Full C class, manual drivers licence
  • Operate and maintain a 4WD
  • Exposure to Arc GIS, Leapfrog, Vulcan
  • Provide First Aid
