About The Centre

The Centre for Research and Innovation in Democracy & Election Management serves as an advanced resource hub for conducting, promoting, and supporting research in electoral democracy and election management. In partnership with various Centres and Schools of IIIDEM, the Centre aims to foster evidence-based insights and innovation in democratic practices and election management.

The Centre undertakes critical reviews of existing studies, documents key electoral data and events, and develops a comprehensive digital resource library. It also introduces scholarship, fellowship, and internship programmes to encourage academic engagement in electoral research, contributing to the continual evolution of democratic processes.

Position: Research Associate

  • Postgraduate in any discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in research and analysis, teaching and training.
  • Salary: Rs. 57,500/- per month (with an annual increment of 10%, subject to satisfactory performance)
Job Responsibilities
  • Electoral Research and Study Support – Conduct, support, and coordinate research projects on political processes, electoral systems, and democratic institutions in India and other democracies.
  • Review and Analysis of Past Studies – Revisit and review existing literature and research studies to identify gaps and opportunities for further exploration in the field of electoral management.
  • Documentation and Digitization – Organize and digitize important election-related data, reports, events, and archives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive digital resource center.
  • Academic Program Facilitation – Assist in the design and execution of internship, fellowship, and scholarship programmes related to electoral research and innovation.
  • Content Development for Knowledge Resources – Prepare research papers, briefing notes, knowledge products, and background material for training and policy input.
