Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking a driven B2B Outside Sales professional to join our Calgary sales team. You will identify new opportunities, visit sites, and build a robust pipeline to close rental deals with contractors and project managers.

You will maintain client relationships, meet targets, and stay informed on market trends to position Cooper as the partner of choice. A clean driver’s license and Canada-work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Proven success in B2B Outside Sales, hunter mindset; construction equipment rental industry experience is a strong asset.
• Grade 12 diploma minimum; bachelor’s or trade certificate is an asset.
• Proficient in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and SRM software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to interact with clients at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Consistently generate qualified leads, build a strong pipeline, and close new rental business.

What You’ll Be Doing DutiesandResponsibilities:

• Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and recommend equipment solutions that maximize productivity and safety.
• Stay informed on market trends, jobsite activity, competitor offerings, and product innovations to position Cooper as the partner of choice.
• Negotiate rental agreements and pricing with confidence and professionalism.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customers receive prompt solutions and reliable follow-up.
• Accurately track activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and community functions to build brand presence and expand market share.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring to the Team QualificationsandRequirements:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or trade certificate in a related field is an asset but is not required.
• Proven success in B2B Outside Sales with a hunter mindset—experience in the construction equipment rental industry or a related field is a strong asset.
• Prior experience withaccountmanagement is preferred. Thorough understanding of the construction industry, and of equipment rental fleet operations is an asset.
• Knowledge of propane andclimatecontrolsolutions is required, including working knowledge of the B149 Canadian propane codes. Product knowledge of temporary construction heaters / HVAC equipment and/or generators is an asset.
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and consistently growing a territory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; able to interact professionally with customers (at all levels), as well as with your teammates.
• Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a competitive environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; familiarity with SRM software is a plus.
• Team-player, with the ability to interact with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner.

#SJ1 Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually
