We are now hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) for senior living homes in Ingersoll & Brantford. Our client provides a competitive compensation package and this is a 3 or 6-month full-time contract with health and dental benefits. Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN) and ability to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician\'s orders, and the resident plan of care
  • Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents
  • Ensure the supply, control and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics; ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts
Qualifications
  • RPN - Diploma in Practical Nursing, current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario; ability to provide a copy of nursing license to indicate good standing
  • Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food & Drug Act
