The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr.

As a Staff Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families
  • Make referrals to resources as needed
  • Support fellow healthcare professionals

What You Bring

Education:

You must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and be eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures.
  • Experience in teamwork, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated teaching aptitude
  • Proficient in clinical leadership
  • A strong desire to expand your professional skills and a commitment to lifelong learning in the nursing field.

Your Day to Day:
  • Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care
  • Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems
  • Identify and address patient/resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary
  • Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care
  • Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient/resident care policies and procedures
  • Advocate for patients/residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources
