Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute / Medical / Surgical units across multiple hospital sites in British Columbia. This contract role is suitable for RNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and are open to short-term travel assignments with competitive pay and full support.

Location

Hospitals across the Okanagan, Coastal, and Northern British Columbia (including Bella Coola, Sechelt, Clearwater, Williams Lake, Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops, Fort Nelson, Burns Lake, Dawson Creek, Fort St James, Prince Rupert, and Prince George)

Contract Details

• 2 weeks – 4 months
• 12-hour shifts, mix of days and nights

Compensation

• T4 : $48 – $52 per hour
• Incorporated : $58 – $61 per hour

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in acute / medical / surgical settings, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and wellness.
• Respond to emergencies and acute changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current registration and good standing with BCCNM (British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives) as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care / med-surg nursing experience in Canada (preferred 2+ years).
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotation of day and night shifts.
• Willingness to travel and work short-term assignments in rural and northern communities.
